How to edit/cancel a task?

You can edit the task before sending it to freelancer only. You can also create a task in Created status by uploading it with Bulk upload (Tasks→Bulk load).

If you need to edit or cancel the task, move the task to the archive using the "Move to archive" button and create a new task.
